Detecting disasters using drone technology in Peru

This video describes the impact of oil extraction and oil spills within the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, Peru. Indigenous environmental observers are using drones to monitor and guard their territory, investigating potential threats from illegal mining and logging. They aim for all 63 of their communities monitors to be able to fly drones.
