CIFOR has undertaken research on participatory measuring, reporting and verifying (MRV) of carbon stocks in Indonesia. The results of these studies are captured in this web portal, which also contains blogs and related articles.
The participatory study sites were selected to represent different conditions in Indonesia (various stages of forest cover, population density, accessibility and governance systems). In total seven villages where chosen from three provinces: two in Central Java (Wonosobo Regency), three in West Kalimantan (Kapuas Hulu Regency) and two in Papua (Mamberamo Raya Regency). The results and experiences are shared from each of the individual sites.
