Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies blogs

There are various blogs on REDD+ and community based forest monitoring on this blog site. Here we have linked to the entry "On Tequila and Community-Based Forest Monitoring", in which a Yale University Masters student reports on her experience with community-based monitoring of the wild Agave harvest in communal areas in Guerrero, Mexico.  The initiative, undertaken by the local community in collaboration with a local NGO and researchers from the New York Botanical Garden, shows a number of positive outcomes in addition to the collection of data.
