Community Based Forest Biomass Monitoring: Training of Trainers Manual
The Community Based Forest Biomass Monitoring: Training for Trainers Manual explains how to train communities to monitor forest biomass. It breaks the learning down into four modules: the fundamentals of communty-based biomass monitoring; feasibility assessment and stakeholder engagement; a technical toolbox (including developing the monitoring plan, locating and setting up sampling plots, identifying and measuring trees, measuring non-live carbon stocks, and data recording); and designing and testing a community training course. This manual can help communities to measure their carbon biomass following scientifically sound methodologies. It was produced by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies.
