How can drone technology complement community-based forest monitoring? New interview from CiFOR with Mike McCall on how drones have been applied in Mexico to complement efforts to assess the state of community forests, drones could be "particularily useful for communities with a small population but a large area". The interview also highlights the issues with drones, including weather-damage, privacy ethics and threats to the operators from narco-gangs.
