A call for proposals has been announced that could support Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Indonesia and Nigeria to involve communities in REDD+ monitoring.
The Governors’ Climate & Forests Fund (GCF Fund) has released its second Request for Proposals funded by the United States Agency for International Development in conjunction with the US Department of State. Under the request, Civil Society Organizations are invited to partner with GCF tropical forest member states to develop proposals which strengthen monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) capacity, enhance sub-national/national alignment, and address key gap areas in the design of jurisdictional programs. Under this round of funding, the GCF Fund will support projects in Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Indonesia and Nigeria.
Proposals should be submitted to the GCF Fund by 30 January 2015.
